Although self-care is not defined by your skincare regimen, taking time to treat yourself kindly and pamper your skin is definitely one way that you can begin to implement a more structured self-care routine. Your face is sensitive and should be treated kindly. I will be sharing an organic, locally grown, and sustainably sourced skincare routine, featuring products from The Farmers Touch and E.L.M vegan beauty products.
Self-care has been crucial during the pandemic. We have all had to adjust our comfortable schedules and routines to fit a "new normal." This has taken a toll on all of us, whether minor or drastic, but it has also given us time to be and focus on ourselves. I struggled to fall into a routine during the pandemic. By implementing a strong skincare routine, I have had the ability to focus on a self-care practice every morning and every night. This gets me waking up in a good mood, focused on myself, and going to bed with similar feelings. My favorite part about this routine is that most of the products I use are coming from the Hudson Valley, organic, and sustainably sourced. I have seen a drastic change in my skins shine, and overall cleanliness. My acne has faded, and I have gotten many compliments that I am glowing! This just adds to my skincare confidence!
The Farmers Touch and E.L.M vegan beauty product line was created by an amazingly hardworking woman named Bethann Bruno. I met Bethann when she was selling her award-winning Bloody Mary's at a brunch service I was working. Her kindness and friendly aurora brought me over to chat and we began discussing her various experiences in the restaurant industry, farming, and her product line. Her nonchalant nature baffled me as she explained how she grows a copious amount of plants, herbs, and flowers in her Hudson Valley garden harvests them and creates these incredible products all by hand. She is quite frankly the definition of "girl boss." This was so inspiring to me, and I had to get my hands on some of her home-grown goodies. Her products...rock. They are slightly naturally fragrant, high quality, and organic. I was touched by her attention to detail on packaging, and variety of goods. I gifted the special ladies in my life her products for Christmas last year, and have gotten great feedback from favorites like her lavender facial tea, foot whip, and nighttime cleansing mask. Her line continues to grow, and I am here for the journey!
My morning routine
This is the part of the day where I truly want to glow.
I start by washing my face with a gentle cleanser, typically Neutrogena. I do this immediately when I wake up to refresh my skin from last night's sleep.
Sometimes I have some extra time and feel like a deeper clean, so I take a tablespoon of the Morning Hydrate facial cleansing mask. This smells so amazing, like light roses. I leave it on for about 5-10 minutes once it begins to firm and then gently wash it off. My pores thank me for this!
Then I go in with my hibiscus facial tea, such a gentle refresher! I love the scent and it seems to brighten my face almost immediately.
Next, I use a drop of nourishing body oil. Typically, I do not always want to use heavy body oil on my face, but this one makes my skin glisten and I truly feel like it's light enough to use on your face.
Following up with E.L.M eye cream. Pro tip: I keep this in the fridge along with the rose water spray to add a bit of cooling sensation to my routine. This heals and reduces the appearance of the bags under my eyes, and makes me feel more awake and refreshed.

I finish this routine off with a thin layer of facial moisturizer with SPF and a spritz of E.L.M rose water to hydrate and cool off my face!

Since implementing this routine, I rarely wear facial foundation because my glow is too natural and bright!
Stay tuned! I will be updating you all with my nighttime routine very soon!
